The X-Men: My favorite superhero team!

Image
Hi everyone, Hector once again! Hope you're all doing well. It's been a little bit since I posted anything as I've been busy with other stuff with life in general and other things I've been working on. Anyway, after my last post was a rant on probably one of the most dreadful things I had to sit through, I thought that the best option for my next post should be about something I love! There are quite a few options I could go with, but I decided to focus this post on one of my favorite things ever. And that is none other the children of the atom, the X-Men!      Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in September 1963, the X-Men are a group of superheroes that consists of various superpowered beings called mutants. These mutants live throughout the world that is complicated to say the least as many of the ones that are human are afraid of mutants due to their abilities and how different they are from humans, and what people don't understand, they give into fear an

I saw The Predator (2018) and it's not bad.......it's worse than I thought! (Spoilers)

Hi everyone, it's Hector again and welcome to another one of my shenanigans, but unfortunately, this is not going to be a pleasant one as the topic I'm discussing today won't be positive as this is my first official rant on this blog of mine. I do my best to stay positive or put a positive spin on various things, but guess a rant was bound to happen sooner or later as this certain movie really did a number on me and my intelligence. Recently, I decided to check out the Predator franchise, particularly the sequels as I did see the first movie a couple of years ago, and thought it was fantastic, but never got around to seeing the sequels, though I wanted to. Predator 2 was uneven, but enjoyable, while Predators, despite its faults, I was quite into thanks to its amazing premise and cast! Then, I moved onto the next installment, The Predator, and let's just say this movie is one of the most stupid, horribly written, poorly thought out, creatively bankrupt, laughable ab

Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom?! (Why we should keep an open mind on this casting choice)

Hi everyone, Hector again with more of my shenanigans, but thought I would discuss something a little different this time around, which is of a recent announcement that happened a week ago at San Diego Comic Con 2024. A lot has been shown and announced from Marvel, from Thunderbolts to Captain America: Brave New World to Fantastic Four: First Steps (most looking forward to that one), and the two Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars. Avengers 5 was initially called Kang Dynasty, but due to the controversial Jonathan Majors situation, Majors was fired from Kang, and plans regarding Kang has changed, which based on the title, Doomsday, sounds like Doctor Doom will be the next big villain! But what caught everyone's attention is who will be playing Doctor Doom, and it's none other than Iron Man/Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Junior!      Saying this news is surprising is an understatement as no one in a million years would have guessed this happening! Funnily enough,

Deadpool and Wolverine Review (A Unlikely, Yet Beautiful Pairing)

Image
Hi again, Hector here, and welcome back to another post on my shenanigans. For today, it's my review of my most anticipated film of 2024 and the latest movie in the constantly expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, Deadpool and Wolverine! Not only is it the third Deadpool movie, it's also the first one set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as being the first R rated film. Not to mention it's kind of a finale of sorts for the Fox Marvel Era that started back in 2000 with X-Men, and on top of that, it's bringing back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine once again, despite announcing that his last time playing the character was back in 2017 with Logan. There's a lot riding on this one, especially with how the Marvel Cinematic Universe, save for some exceptions, has been in a tough spot with the quality of their movies nowadays. Can Deadpool, with the inclusion of Wolverine, bring back life to the Marvel Cinematic Universe or it's a lost cause at this point?

Kelsey Grammer's Beast needs to return in Deadpool and Wolverine!

Hi everyone, HeJaWolf (Hector) here again! I hope you're all doing well! I thought I do something a little different this time around for my blog, as I had a certain topic in mind, as we are nearly a month away from one of the most anticipated movies of 2024, which is none other than Deadpool and Wolverine! I've been really excited about this movie for a multitude of reasons, most notably with the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, this being the first Deadpool movie set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and being the "finale" of sorts to the Fox Marvel era that started back in 2000 with the original X-Men movie, which was one of the very first movies I saw, so Deadpool and Wolverine is kind of a big deal to me!      One of the most noticeable reasons on why Deadpool and Wolverine is exciting is the potential cameos that will be in the movie. Don't worry, I don't know exactly who will pop up or confirm who will be in it, save for whoever was reveal

Bad Boys Ride or Die: An enjoyable, but uneven ride!

Image
Hi again, HeJaWolf (Hector) here with another blog post here! For today's topic, I'm here to do another movie review, and the movie I saw recently was Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which is the fourth installment of the Bad Boys franchise. The series has been going on for nearly 30 years, but surprisingly, I'm not too familiar with the franchise beyond who stars in it and who directed it, with Michael Bay handling the first two, while the next two (including Ride or Die) was done by Adil and Bilall. I did see the first movie, but it was years ago when I saw it, and aside from some things here and there, I don't remember much (The most I remember was a crazy death scene, and the two leads saying "Now back up, put the gun down, and get me a pack of Tropical Fruit Bubblicious. And some Skittles"). What compelled me to see the new movie despite not being too familiar with the franchise was its directors, Adil and Bilall, who were involved with Ms. Marvel, which is
